Chhota Rajan's health suddenly worsens, admitted to AIIMS Delhi

Mumbai: Underworld don Chhota Rajan has been admitted to Delhi AIIMS. Rajan was admitted after suffering from a stomach ache. Rajan is currently lodged in Tihar jail. He was recently infected with corona. He was admitted to the AIIMS on July 22. However, he had defeated Corona and in May he was brought back to Tihar from the hospital.

Chhota Rajan was reportedly admitted to the AIIMS on Tuesday. He had abdominal pain. He was first shown to the jail doctor, but Chhota Rajan was referred to AIIMS after nothing was cleared. He also underwent an ultrasound here. Rajan is lodged in the high-security ward of Jail No. 2 of Tihar Jail. Chhota Rajan has extremely strict security arrangements around. Chhota Rajan has more than 70 cases registered against him including kidnapping and murder. He was convicted of the murder of senior Mumbai journalist Jyotirmay Dey and then sentenced to life imprisonment.

Chhota Rajan has been in judicial custody in Tihar jail in New Delhi since 2015. He has been found guilty in several cases in India. Rajan has recently sought interim bail in connection with the hotel businessman's attempt to murder. Rajan has filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court against three cases. They include the death of a hotelier in 2012, the mall shoot-out case of 2013, and the Panvel Rangadari case of 2015.
