Ujjain: Today Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is on Ujjain tour. Gadkari will lay the foundation of 11 roads here. These 534 km long roads will be built at a cost of Rs 6247 crore. Before Gadkari's arrival, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways VK Singh (Retd. General) offered prayers at the Mahakal temple. Announced to give Rs 11 crore for the expansion of Mahakal temple. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister have also reached Mahakal temple.

The same Gadkari reached Indore airport before coming to Ujjain. He was welcomed here by Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat. Gadkari will come from Indore to Ujjain to visit the Divyang Park near Kothi Palace. After worshiping at Mahakaleshwar temple, he will take part in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the roads. Before the arrival of Gadkari and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the entry of common devotees in the Mahakal temple was stopped. The same CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan had come to Ujjain before Gadkari's arrival. He witnessed a door-to-door presentation of Deepotsav at Triveni Museum here. This year, Ujjain will be decorated with 21 lakh lamps on Mahashivratri. The Chief Minister said that surely the city of Lord Mahakaleshwar would have a wonderful shade on Deepotsav.

These roads will be built with 6247 crores:-

The widening of Ujjain-Dewas four lane will be done from 992 crores. Its length is 41 kilometers.
Ujjain-Jhalawar Toolan 134 km road with paved shoulder will be constructed from 498 crores.
The Ujjain-Badnavar four lane of 69 km will be constructed with Rs 1352 crore.
Jirapur-Susner Toulen till Madhya Pradesh state border will be built with 240 crores. The length will be 46 kilometres.
Ujjain-Garonth (Package-1) four lane will be built with 1034 crores. 42 km in length.
Ujjain-Garonth (Package-2) four lane will be built at a cost of 2998 crores. The length will be 48 kms.
Ujjain-Garonth (Package-3) will be made from 952 crores. The length will be 46 kilometers.
Under CIRF, the Bahi-Balagudha-Ambao-Kanghatti-Ugran 25 km route will be built at a cost of 26 crores.
The 18 km road from Barotha-Semlya-Chow will be built with 36 crores.
Bhadwa Mata-Sarwaniya Maharaj-Javad-Athana-Chadol road will be constructed with a cost of 77 crores. The length is 48 kilometers.
Jawasiyapanth-Fatehabad 17 km road till Chandravatiganj will be built with 42 crores.
