Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today met flood-affected people in Siddharthnagar district on Saturday and assured all possible help from the government. He also distributed flood material to the flood-affected people in several districts of the state. Earlier on Friday also, he conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Bahraich district and distributed relief material to the affected families.

Meanwhile, CM Yogi said, "More than 2,500 people in four villages have been affected due to floods. Orders have been issued to distribute relief material to the flood-affected people and work is going on a war footing.'' At the same time, CM Yogi said, "Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), PSUs are present on the spot to help the people and provide other facilities including drinking water."

The state government on Sunday said 619 villages in 18 districts of UP are affected by floods. According to official data, six rivers including Ghaghra, Rapti, Burhi Rapti, Kanhar, Rohini, and Kuwano are flowing above the danger mark. As a result, Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur, Balrampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Basti, Barabanki, Kheri, Sitapur, Ballia, Kushinagar, Azamgarh, Bahraich, Ayodhya, Shahjahanpur, Mau, and Gonda are under flood.
