Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has taken up the responsibility of persuading the rebels in the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi has tried to persuade the rebel leaders by meeting them for not getting tickets in the elections. The effect of CM Yogi's talk was that 74 rebels for the post of corporator of Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation have withdrawn their nominations. That is, Chief Minister Yogi has successfully stopped the rebellion.

When CM Yogi Adityanath reached Gorakhpur on Wednesday, he got the news of many officials rebelling and joining the election fray. On this, CM Yogi asked the Metropolitan President for a list of rebels and started saving them. The rebel candidates were called to the Gorakshanath temple. Apart from State Vice President Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Metropolitan President Rajesh Gupta was present in this meeting. All the rebels kept their points in front of CM Yogi. On behalf of CM Yogi, he was assured of a better adjustment. After the assurance, CM Yogi Adityanath directed all the rebel candidates to make the BJP candidates win with loyalty.

BJP metropolitan president Rajesh Gupta has informed that some workers have met CM Yogi Adityanath in Gorakshnath temple, who was contesting elections as a rebel. After being told by CM Yogi that all the rebels have withdrawn their nominations and are all old workers, the Chief Minister was also informed about all the preparations of the organisation for the civic elections.
