New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has made derogatory remarks about the country's newly elected President Draupadi Murmu. On Friday, Congress also staged a demonstration in the Parliament House complex, protesting against the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) questioning of Sonia Gandhi. Meanwhile, talking to a private channel, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had violated all the regulations and called the President the 'Rashtrapatni.'

Now, Union Minister Smriti Irani has raised questions on the Congress High Command over Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Irani has said that ever since Draupadi Murmu's name was announced as the presidential candidate, she has been a victim of hatred and ridicule from the Congress party. The Congress called Draupadi Murmu a puppet, a symbol of inauspicious and immoral. Smriti Irani said that the leader of the House Adhir Ji appointed by Sonia Gandhi called Draupadi Murmu Ji the 'Rashtrapatni.' Knowing that his address attacks the dignity of the supreme constitutional post. The whole country and the world knows that Congress is anti-women, tribal and anti-poor.

At the same time, there was a lot of uproar in the Lok Sabha over congress leader Adhir Ranjan's remarks about Excellency Murmu. Meanwhile, Union Minister Smriti Irani also asked Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi to apologise. Irani said Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Congress should apologise to the poor people and tribals of the country.
