New Delhi: 28 districts of Assam are badly affected by Corona but then 36 lakh people have been affected by the floods. More than 100 people have lost their lives due to floods and landslides. Expressing concern over the situation in Assam, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the Congress workers to assist them.

He said that the people of Assam are very courageous and are firmly facing the situation. The entire country is with Assam in this difficult time. Rahul Gandhi posted a video of the flood on his official Twitter handle on Saturday. In the caption of the video, Rahul Gandhi wrote that "The whole country is with Assam. The people of Assam are facing this trouble with their courageous nature and will soon recover from this disaster." 

Five more people have died in various flood-related incidents in Assam. About 36 lakh people in 28 districts of the state have been affected so far. Giving information in an official bulletin on Friday, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said that one person died in Dhubri, Darrang, Bongaigaon, Goalpara each.
