Ranchi: Jharkhand is witnessing an increase in cases of crime against daughters-in-law every day. Sultan Ansari, Lohardaga district leader of the ruling party Congress, has been booked for raping, assaulting and threatening to kill a tribal widow. Actually, this whole incident took place on September 3. Even after 10 days, the police have not been able to arrest the culprit. At the same time, the BJP is accusing the police administration as well as the state government of protecting criminals.
The opposition party says that on the one hand, the government calls itself pro-tribal, on the other hand, there are incidents of rape of tribal daughters-in-law and the police are not even able to arrest him, let alone punish the culprits. In fact, this whole case has come to light from the Kudu police station area of Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. Here Congress leader Sultan Ansari raped a tribal widow while working in the field. He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The woman said the accused, Sultan Ansari, often carried his sand-laden tractor from the victim's field, so he was preventing the woman from farming. When the woman resisted, the accused Sultan abused and assaulted the tribal woman and then took her to the edge of the field and raped her.
The woman remained silent at first due to fear of society and folklore. Then after getting along with the people of the society and family, the woman went to the police station and the Superintendent of Police and lodged an FIR against the accused Sultan Ansari. The woman said that her husband died five years ago due to TV disease, and the victim lives at home with her 10-year-old son. In this case, Kudu police station in-charge Abhinav Kumar says that the raid is going on to catch the accused Sultan Ansari by registering case number 140, section 376 SC-ST Act section 323, 341 of rape by raping a widow woman of the tribal community.
