New Delhi: Congress MP Manish Tiwari, while talking to a private news channel today, said that everyone remembers the 1962 war, but 1967 and 1987 should be remembered by China. Manish Tiwari has said, 'We were not ready in 1962 and India had to face defeat. But even in that battle, there should be moments like this that the Indian Army had proved its iron. In 1967, the Indian Army at Nathula gave a befitting reply to the Chinese army and killed more than 300 Chinese soldiers. The result was that from 1967 to 1987 China could not even dare to look towards India.

He has said that in 1987, Samdorang Chu and Hanamata Chu happened and at that time Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of the country, at that time China got a befitting reply. In such a situation, those people who talk about 1962 forget about 1967 and 1987, how they had disturbed China. Our army is fully empowered.

Speaking to the media, Manish Tiwari has said that China does not want to settle the border dispute with India. He further said that, 'China had border disputes with 18 countries, out of which it has resolved these disputes with 16 countries. In many places China has stopped disputes with less land. But China does not want to settle the border dispute with India and Bhutan.
