New Delhi: The Congress is facing a massive upheaval these days. The factionalism among top leaders in various states is at its peak. Amidst all this, the party's interim president Sonia Gandhi has become active. In Haryana, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, there is a lot of rhetoric within the party. According to party sources, Sonia Gandhi is likely to take a big decision soon in these three states.
In Haryana, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda can be made member of the Central Election Committee. Hooda wants his importance in ticket sharing. For the state head, almost everyone looks ready in the name of Kumari Selja, while Dipendra Hooda can be satisfied as the executive chairman.
The party high command has become active following reports of Jyotiraditya Singhiya's displeasure in the MP. Sonia has called CM Kamal Nath and held talks while Digvijay Singh is yet to meet him. Sonia is likely to take a big decision here too soon.
In Delhi too, there is a lot of anger over the post of party president. The party wants the responsibility to be given to a senior leader but the leaders there want a Youth to be given the command. Delhi assembly elections are scheduled to be held early next year. The party has to fight powerful parties like you and the BJP there.
