Patna: Due to floods in Bihar, a population of 10 lakhs of 10 districts has been clouded. In addition to the National Disaster Management Force, helicopters of Air Force were sent in relief and rescue work. People were somehow sent to a safe place. During this time, the breach of embankments and the filling of water in new areas continues. Talking about the latest situation, the road has been closed due to the accident of the Dumariya Ghat bridge on the national highway connecting Gopalganj and East Champaran with Delhi to Guwahati and Kathmandu. The world famous Buddhist stupa located in Kesariya of East Champaran has also been submerged by water.

Dozens of villages in Madhubani and Samastipur have been flooded. In Darbhanga, relief work is being done by helicopter. In East Champaran and Darbhanga, DM is surveying by helicopter. Motihari, Sitamarhi and Darbhanga cities have also been hit by floods. Many neighborhoods of 3 Kshatras are surrounded by water. The roads of flood affected areas of Sitamarhi and Darbhanga city have been flooded.

After the Purana of Manjha of Gopalganj, the flood situation in the area is getting worse due to the break up of Saran embankment in Sonwalia, Mundera and Munja of Baikunthpur on Saturday. At night, the water of the Gandak river has filled up at the Sidhwalia block headquarters. By morning all the departments including the FIR Health Center, the police station were covered in water. Flood water has started flowing more rapidly in the entire block headquarters. Two dozen villages of this block including Bucheya have been submerged in water. People are leaving home and fleeing. In Baikunthpur block, flood water entered new areas in the night. More than 3 dozen villages of the block are completely flooded.
