Bhopal: A shocking incident has come to light from Biaora city in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district, where students at CM Rise School were scolded and stopped from chanting the Gayatri Mantra. A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing a school teacher, identified as Dushyant Rana, yelling at the students during the school assembly as they recited the Gayatri Mantra. He questioned them, saying, "Stop. Stop. Who told you to chant Gayatri Mantra? Why are you chanting this?"

Another lady teacher, reportedly named Mazida, was seen inquiring about the video in the same clip. The video was recorded by one of the teachers present, who later shared it on social media. The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) took notice of the incident and initiated an inquiry with the school. In response, Teacher Dushyant Rana clarified that he had no intention of stopping the Mantra chants. He explained that as per the schedule, the mantra was supposed to be chanted only once a week, and he was merely trying to maintain discipline. However, the SDM requested a written response and issued orders to have the Gayatri Mantra chanted daily at the school.

Local Hindu organizations also became aware of the incident and demanded strict action against the school. Rana reiterated that he had no intention of hurting Hindu sentiments. Nonetheless, the ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) and other Hindu organizations stated that they would protest against the event if no action is taken against the teachers and the school. This is not the first such incident in Madhya Pradesh, as a similar situation occurred in Indore. In a private school named Bal Vigyan Shishu Vihar Higher Secondary School on Dhara Road, students were slapped for wearing tilaks on their foreheads. They were also threatened with removal and Transfer Certificates (TC) if they continued to wear the tilak on the school premises.
