Shimla: Covid-19 positive elderly woman has lost her life in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. CMO Dr Rajesh Guleri has confirmed the death of the woman. So far 56 people have lost their lives due to COVID in the state. The number of active cases has crossed 2 thousand. 42 Covid positive cases have come in the state on Monday. 20 cases have been reported in Mandi, 11 in Una, 7 in Chamba and 4 in Sirmour.

43-year-old Revenue Ministry worker from Dangoli in Una sub-division was found infected. A 34-year-old female health worker posted in the regional hospital Una has also been found COVID positive due to exposure to the infected during the duty. Three personnel of 32, 51 and 55 years of Water Power Department have been infected. The reason for this is that they came in contact with an infected person. Amb's 35-year-old woman is also hit by COVID. The 46-year-old person of the Gram Panchayat Gagret has been found positive. 

The 21-year-old returned from Nagaland of Lidkot in Kutlehar region has been found positive. A 21-year-old youth has got symptoms of COVID. A 30-year-old man returned from Abu Dhu from Samudur Khurd of Kutlaihar area has been found Covid-19 positive. A person from Badhera of Haroli sub-division has also been found infected.
