Bijnor: There are cases of rigging in purchasing thermometers, scanners, pulse oximeters during the pandemic. The city has also been rigged to purchase these instruments. There is also a GST theft case of crores of rupees. Often one or two firms have supplied the goods in the city. In the Bijnor district, this purchase was also done on a high level. Now the head and secretary are being pressured to pay for the equipment. While the village heads have not received these instruments.

The village headmen are saying that the instruments have been purchased at a high level and the officers are saying that the village heads have purchased the instruments. Now the question is, who bought the machine and where are they. Thermometer scanner 1986 and pulse oximeter Rs 1700 were purchased from the block and state level in Bijnor district. GST was imposed on them. Both of these were worth Rs 4248. Bills have been sent to the chiefs throughout the city.

The chief and secretary do not see any profit in this. They are neither willing to sign the bill, nor they want to pay. The Chief and Secretary have become more cautious on ordering the action against the DPRO at one or two places. Now even the secretary is calling the village head and asking him not to sign the bills. The case is now being investigated.
