New Delhi: India's daily affairs have fallen sharply in the past several weeks after facing the second wave of coronavirus infection between February and May. However, recent data on coronavirus has shown some alarming signs. According to data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), there has been a marginal increase in the decline and positivity rate of daily corona infections. This is alarming as the rush of people at tourist places is strongly violating the Corona Protocol.
The country's weekly positive rate is currently 2.37 percent, a marginal increase compared to July 7 (2.27 percent). Daily COVID infections continue to decline, though it has slowed down slightly, while the positivity rate has marginally increased. 'The third wave of covid will hit India in August.' A research report predicts that the third wave of COVID-19 could hit India in mid-August 2021, an alarm bell for policymakers and citizens.
The report prepared by SBI Research claims that the peak of the third wave of COVID will come in the month of September 2021. Global data shows that, on average, extreme covid-19 cases during the third wave are about two or 1.7 times more than the second wave of the epidemic, SBI reported.
