Corona spike in India! Again breaks record of infected cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi: Not only the country but corona epidemic has also wreaked havoc all over the world. The cases of corona are increasing once again across India. In the last 24 hours, 22,854 new cases of corona have been reported across the country while 126 patients have died due to infection. At the same time, 18,100 people have recovered from corona in 24 hours. The total number of cases of corona infection in the country has increased to 1,12,85,561 while the number of active cases has gone up to 1,89,226. The total figure of people who died of corona in the country has increased to 1,58,189. According to the Union Ministry of Health, 1,09,38,146 people have been cured of corona infection.

In the last year, the number of infected people in the country had increased to 20 lakh on August 7, 30 lakh on 23 August, and 40 lakh on 5 September. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November, and one crore on 19 December. The Health Ministry said that more than 70 percent of the patients who died so far had other diseases.

After the arrival of 1,032 new cases of corona in Thane city of Maharashtra, the number of infected here increased to 2,72,193. An official told Thursday that all these new cases came up on Wednesday. He said that after the death of three more patients from the infection, the number of people who lost their lives to the epidemic in the city rose to 6,315. The death rate from corona here is 2.32 percent. The officer said that 2,58,158 people have become infection-free in the city so far, the rate of recovery of patients here is 94.84 percent.
