Amid lockdown and corona transition, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that proper arrangements will be made for migrant labourers desirous of returning home. On Thursday, 2400 migrant labourers were sent to Bihar and 1343 migrant labourers to Madhya Pradesh in three special trains. He said that despite the variations, we are all Indians. With this sentiment and thinking, the Haryana government has taken the initiative to send migrant workers trapped in lockdown and willing to go to their homes in the home states at the expense of the state government. All Indians living in any part of the country are one and it is the responsibility of all of us Indians to remove their suffering.

In his statement, the CM said that more than 1200 migrant labourers have been sent from the railway station of Ambala Cantonment via special labour train to Katihar in Bihar, including those in Katihar district as well as Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Araria, Purnia. Migrant workers are involved. These migrant workers include 117 from Ambala district, 23 from Panipat, 509 from Bhiwani, 512 from Jind, 25 from Fatehabad, 7 from Hisar, 8 from Kaithal.

A migrant labourer at Rewari Junction said that he had come to Rewari to harvest family mustard. Could not leave here due to lockdown. The state government kept the shelter home, provided good food, now the Haryana government made arrangements to send it home for free, they said hail the Haryana government.
