The Western Railway (WR) has cancelled six special trains due to the declines in the number of passengers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
List of cancelled trains are - 01138 Ahmedabad-Nagpur Special cancelled from May 20 to July 1 -- 01137 Nagpur-Ahmedabad Special cancelled from May 19 to June 30 --09247 Ahmedabad – Kevadiya Jan Shatabdi Special cancelled on May 20 -- 09250 Kevadiya – Ahmedabad Jan Shatabdi Special cancelled on May 20
Also, till further notice, the train No. 05270 Ahmedabad-Muzaffarpur Special cancelled from May 29 and Train No 05269 Muzaffarpur – Ahmedabad Special cancelled from May 27
At the same time, for the convenience of passengers, the Western Railway has extended trips of Surat – Hatia Special train on special fare up to Madhupur station.
Train no. 09081 Surat – Madhupur Superfast Special will run on May 20 and May 27 -- Train no. 09082 Madhupur – Surat Superfast Special Train will run on May 22 and May 29.
As per the Health Ministry data, India's overall tally of Covid-19 cases Thursday stands at 2,57,72,440 with 31,29,878 active cases and 2,87,122 deaths so far. According to the Health Ministry, a total of 3,69,077 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, with 2,23,55,440 being cured from Covid till date.
