Violent clashes between the two forces took place on Monday night amid the escalation of the encroachment along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. In this, 20 Indian soldiers including a colonel of the Bihar Regiment were martyred. The Chinese army has also suffered extensive damage. He is also reported to have killed 43 soldiers. This has not been confirmed by China. However, no shots were fired from either side during the skirmish. For the past several decades, there was no such clash on both sides. Earlier in 1975, there was such a violent skirmish in 45 years, in which the soldiers were martyred.
