New Delhi: AltNews co-founder Mohammed Zubair, who is suffering from Hindphobia, has been produced before the Patiala House Court by the Delhi Police. DCP KPS Malhotra has dismissed allegations that the arrest of Mohammed Zubair is motivated by politics. He said that due to his objectionable tweet, there was a flurry of hateful statements on Twitter, which is not good for communal harmony. He said that two things were very important in the police investigation – Gadgets and intentions. Police said that in the last few days, more than Rs 50 lakh has been transacted from Mohammed Zubair's bank account.

A Delhi Police official said that Mohammed Zubair turned out to be a fraud in both cases. He had formatted his mobile phone and that was the basis for his arrest. The police officer said, "If you put forward an idea on social media, it becomes your idea. Retweeting and saying I don't know anything – the two can't go together. That's your responsibility. Time doesn't matter for that, because a retweet and things become new.'' DCP KPS Malhotra said that if a person is named in many cases, it is our responsibility to interrogate him in all those cases. He said that the judiciary is involved in this case, Zubair's custody was granted and bail was denied, so there will be some merit in this case. He said it is not fair to call it politically motivated. He said the police will seek more remand of Mohammed Zubair in the case.

In the new video, the police are seen taking Mohammed Zubair to Patiala House Court. During this time, she was wearing her colourful hat and covered her face with a mask. Earlier, he was sent to remand for only one day after being arrested at night. Advocate Vrinda Grover appeared in the latest hearing on behalf of Mohammed Zubair. However, the court has sent Zubair to four-day police custody.   Now it remains to be seen whether the police will investigate the Zubair angle in the brutal murder of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur. Because it was only after Mohammed Zubair circulated an edited video of Nupur Sharma that violence by Muslims was witnessed all over the country and there was resentment against Nupur Sharma. The incident in Udaipur is also the result of this.
