Chennai: Surgeons of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University (TANUVAS) had to struggle for five hours to remove garbage from a cow's stomach, after which 52 kg of plastic, pins and needles came out of the cow's stomach. According to the report of The Hindu, due to so many things in the stomach, the cow had a lot of stomach ache. Now the mute animal could not tell anyone its pain, but due to pain, it kept kicking on his stomach again and again. Not only this, the cow had also stopped giving milk.

TANUVAS Clinic Director S. Speaking on the matter, Balasubramanian has said that this incident is a living example of the danger to life of animals from plastic being spread in public. We have also removed plastic from the stomach of cows before, but this time 52 kg of plastic has come out. According to the report, P. Muniratnam brought this cow from Vellore six months ago. The cow gave birth to a baby boy 20 days ago. She was giving only three litres of milk. A few days later, the cow started having problems with cow dung and urination.

Seeing this happening, Muniratnam took the cow to the local vet, who advised him to show the cow in TANUVAS. After doing many tests, surgeons of TANUVAS decided to perform a cow operation and then after surgery a lot of garbage was removed from the cow's stomach. The surgery started at 11 am on Friday, which ended at 4:30 pm.
