Kolkata: A case of suicide of a potato farmer has come to light again in Chandrakona, West Bengal. This has stirred the entire state. The farmer, allegedly in debt, was troubled by bank notices more than once and continuously. He was under mental stress after getting the notice to repay the loan and finally he took the last route and committed suicide. Due to this incident, weeds have spread in Jadupur village under Chandrakona.

Let us tell you that last year also the case of farmer's suicide came to light in Chandrakona. Not only this year, but last year also there was a huge loss in agriculture during the monsoon season. Sometimes it rained ahead of time, sometimes it rained a lot later. Due to this the crop was destroyed and the farmers were upset. The name of the deceased farmer is Rabindranath Chakraborty. He was a resident of Jadupur in Chandrakona. Due to natural calamities, potato cultivation has suffered a lot twice in the current season. On top of that he had taken a loan of few thousand rupees from the bank for farming. He was not able to repay the loan even after giving repeated notices from the bank due to the loss in agriculture. He was running in extreme mental depression for several days. Finally on Tuesday night he came out of the house and committed suicide by consuming poison.
