Bhopal: The employees of Madhya Pradesh can get big good news from the Shivraj government in the next few days. It is being said that the government has made up its mind to increase the dearness allowance of the employees. For this, the Finance Department has been asked to prepare the budget, it has also started preparing. In such a situation, it is likely that it will be decided in the next few days or early next month.

According to the news received, the Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to give 4 percent DA to 7.50 lakh employees of the state. It is being speculated that this big change in the salary of employees can be seen in the month of July. If the government takes this decision, then increasing the DA by 4 percent will put an additional burden of about 160 crores on the government treasury. Earlier, the decision to increase DA in the state was to be taken in April. But, for some reason, this decision got stuck. Now if the government takes this decision, then there will be a difference of 6 to 10 thousand rupees in the salary of the employees. However, no official decision has been taken in this regard yet. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has to put a firm seal on this.

In Madhya Pradesh, there are 7 lakh regular, teacher and panchayat workers and other employees. Of these, the seventh pay scale employees are getting 38 percent dearness allowance since January 2023. After increasing it by 4 percent, the burden on the government treasury will be about Rs 160 crore. At present, government employees in Madhya Pradesh are getting 38 per cent DA. Which is likely to increase further by 4 percent soon. In this case, it will increase to 42 percent. If this happens, the employees of the state will stand at par with the Center. Because central employees are also being given 42 percent dearness allowance right now.
