Coimbatore: A shocking case has recently come to light from Coimbatore. In fact, videos and photos of a Dalit employee falling at the feet of an upper-caste man in a government office here are fast going viral. As soon as it has come to light, an inquiry has been ordered for the same. The case is of caste discrimination and the case is said to be last Friday. The case is said to be of a village administration office in Ottarpalayam village of Annoor Taluk in Coimbatore village.

The incident is said to be from the time Gopala Swamy reached the office to verify the land documents. Some reports have revealed that Gopalaswamy had an argument with Village Administrative Officer Kalai Selvi and Assistant Officer Muthusamy in the matter relating to land papers. Muthusamy refused to talk to Gopalaswamy in a derogatory manner, but in the meantime, Muthusamy pulled Gopalasamy and then soon the matter escalated. Gopalasamy then allegedly started using casteist words for Muthusamy. Gopalasamy later also later forgave Muthusamy as Muthusamy fell at his feet to apologize.

Meanwhile, people kept trying to pick him up. Meanwhile, Gopalasamy said, "Okay Muthu! Please get up, it was a mistake on my part. Muthusamy, on the other hand, refused to get up from his feet, while other staff at the VO office were picking him up. Taking cognizance of the entire matter, the Coimbatore Collector has issued an inquiry order.'' At the same time, the Coimbatore Collector has ordered the SP to lodge an FIR in the entire case.
