Datia: Water from the Sindh river has started receding in the Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. There are traces of ruin everywhere. In fact, people here are suffering from the roof over their heads because their food and drink, cattle, everything have been washed away. On the other hand, the administration seems to be claiming help. However, the flood victims continue to need help. Here, the rough form of the Sindh river in the Sevdha assembly constituency of Datia district is shocking and now the river water is receding here. After the water recedes, there is a lot of wastage all around.

Not only that, the roof of the villagers of Pali and Sunari villages was snatched here. People have been sent to relief camps, government buildings, and tents here. Pregnant women and the elderly are also said to be in these relief camps and the problem of medical check-ups is still there. The entire bridge of Ratangarh has been washed away in the waterlogging. Most worryingly, along with the bridge, the pillars of the newly constructed bridge have also been damaged. The office of the disaster management team built near the bridge here has also been washed away. You must be aware that the rain from the sky in Gwalior Chambal has created a stir among everyone.

Floods and rain not only destroyed houses, farms, roads but also caused havoc over dams. The opening of the gates of the dam here caused havoc by the Indus, Seep river, and six bridges constructed at a cost of crores of rupees were washed away like playing cards. Four of these bridges are said to have been constructed during the Shivraj government 10 to 12 years ago. Now that the bridges could not withstand the flow of rain and floods, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has demanded a high-level inquiry and accountability in the entire matter.
