Ranchi: Twitter has been engulfed in the battle between Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey. The Civil Court of Ranchi has given orders against Twitter so that not only Facebook but Twitter also appears to be stuck in the battle of CM and MP. A defamation case filed against CM Hemant Soren, including MP Nishikant Dubey, was heard in the Ranchi Civil Court.

During this time, the advocate appearing on behalf of Hemant Soren appealed to the court to prohibit Godda MP Nishikant Dubey from commenting against CM Hemant Soren on Twitter. The court sought an answer from Nishikant Dubey's advocate. Advocate Diwakar Upadhyay, on behalf of Nishikant Dubey, requested the court to give two weeks time for this, accepting which the court has scheduled the next hearing in this case on 13 January 2021.

During this time, the court of Sub Judge Vaishali Srivastava directed the advocate of Hemant Soren to get a paper publication against Twitter so that the presence of Twitter, in this case, can be ensured through his advocate. CM Hemant Soren has filed a defamation case against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Facebook and Twitter, claiming Rs 100 crore.
