New Delhi: The Delhi Capitals (DC) team defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by nine wickets in the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). Batting first after losing the toss, Punjab scored the lowest score of the season. The team collapsed to 115 runs. Seven Punjab batsmen could not even touch the ten-figure mark. In reply, the Delhi team achieved the target by losing one wicket in 10.3 overs. For Delhi, Prithvi Shaw scored 41 off 20 balls and David Warner scored an unbeaten knock of 60 off 30 balls.  

At the same time, after losing the toss and electing to bat first, PBKS had a very bad start. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for nine runs off Lalit Yadav. After this, captain Mayank Agarwal was clean bowled by Mustafizur Rahman for 24 off 15 balls. English batsman Jonny Bairstow could only score nine runs and Liam Livingstone could only score two runs. After this, Jitesh Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan tried to handle the innings, but both of them could only share a partnership of 31 runs. Jitesh returned to the pavilion after scoring 32 off 23 balls. That's why the team was bowled out for 115 runs. That's the lowest score of the season. For Delhi, Khaleel Ahmed, Lalit Yadav, Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets each. At the same time, Mustafizur got a wicket. Chasing a modest target of 116 runs, the Delhi Capitals team got off to a great start. Prithvi Shaw and David Warner gave the team a flying start and scored 81 runs in the power-play itself. This is the highest score ever scored in the power-play this season. Earlier, this record was in the name of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He had scored 73 for the loss of one wicket in the first six overs against Lucknow in Brabourne. Along with this, it is also the highest score scored by Delhi in the first six overs.

Delhi's first wicket falls in the form of Prithvi Shaw. He was caught by Rahul Chahar off Nathan Ellis. Shaw missed out on a half-century. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 41 off 20 balls. In this innings, he hit seven fours and a six. After this, David Warner and Sarfaraz Khan together made Delhi victorious in the 11th over.   Warner scored his 53rd fifty in the IPL. He was not out for 60 off 30 balls. At the same time, Sarfaraz Khan played an unbeaten inning of 12 runs off 13 balls.
