Delhi Election Results LIVE: As vote counting continues, early trends show BJP leading on 16 seats, AAP on 11, and Congress on 1. The numbers are changing as more votes are counted, making the Delhi election an intense contest.

Early trends show that Arvind Kejriwal is trailing behind BJP’s Parvesh Verma. The New Delhi constituency continues to be a major battleground, with the former Delhi CM contesting against the sons of former CMs from both BJP & Congress.

The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 started at 8 AM on February 8. Early trends were expected by 9 AM, and the final results will be announced later in the day. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken strict steps to ensure the process is fair and secure.

The storage rooms containing Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were opened in front of candidates, their representatives, and election officials.

According to election rules, postal ballots were counted first. If there were no postal ballots, the EVM vote counting started right away.

Checking EVMs and Counting Votes
Officials checked each EVM’s security seal and identification number before counting the votes. They made sure the total number of votes matched the records in Form 17C.

To ensure accuracy, Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips from five randomly selected polling stations in each constituency were cross-checked with the EVM count.

After all votes are counted, the Returning Officer (RO) finalizes the results. If two candidates get the same number of votes, the winner is chosen by a lucky draw, as per election rules. If any candidate suspects an issue, they can ask for a recount.
