NEW DELHI: The AAP government of Delhi  has called a special session of the Legislative Assembly on Monday,  April 17, a day after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the alleged excise policy scam case.

The Assembly will reportedly talk about how some individuals are fostering a climate that is hostile to the city of Delhi's AAP-led administration's efforts at development.

A committee report regarding the Services Department, MLA Rajesh Gupta, and unsolved questions will be presented on the House floor during this extraordinary session, according to the sources.

Kejriwal has said that the central investigation agencies are going to great lengths to target their fiercest political adversaries in reaction to the CBI summons.

Kejriwal said on Saturday that these agencies had lied to the courts in affidavits, tortured detainees to elicit false confessions, and used thuggish threats in relation to the detention of the former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.

The Chief Minister said, "The agencies have not discovered a single penny of illicit wealth that they claim was amassed from the alleged liquor scam."
