New Delhi: The convoy of senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has been reported to have been attacked. The AAP party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attacking it. However, the Delhi unit of the BJP has termed the AAP's allegation as baseless.

According to a media report, in its clarification, the BJP said that people in the Chhawla area of Delhi's southwest district had opposed the Arvind Kejriwal-led government's new liquor policy. Earlier, the AAP had in a series of tweets alleged that the Delhi unit of the BJP deployed its "goons" to attack Jain's convoy as it had come to know that it was going to lose the upcoming MCD elections.
On Twitter, the party also shared a video of the alleged attack. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet, "This is BJP. This is the party of goons. When they are losing, they show their form. People will show them their place. This incident is of Goyla Dairy-Najafgarh Nala Puliya. Following the AAP's allegations, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said, "There was no hooliganism against minister Satyendra Jain, the local residents of Chhawla area had only opposed the Kejriwal government's new liquor policy."
