New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has rejected a petition filed on Republic Day on the violent incidents at the Red Fort. The Delhi High Court has not only rejected this petition but has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the petitioner. The petition was filed by retired IPS officer Joginder Tuli, which said that orders should be taken against the police personnel responsible for the violent incidents at the Red Fort on 26 January.

But the court while hearing this case said that it is not public interest litigation, but public stunt litigation. (Petition filed to make headlines). The court questioned the petitioner and said that this incident happened on Republic Day and on 27th, AAP filed a petition in the court. Questioning the petitioner's intention, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the petitioner. After this, the petitioner said that they will take the matter to the top court.

The court said that at present there is no need to hear this petition because the Investigating Agency is already investigating this matter. The investigating agency should be given time to complete its investigation. The court does not currently feel any need to hear this petition. The court further said that in the next few months, when the investigation report of this case will be in front of the court, then if necessary, the court will hear it.
