Police started action on Delhi violence, one who attacked a soldier arrested

New Delhi: During the all-party meeting convened before the budget, when the leaders of various parties raised the issue of the farmers' agitation as well as the violence on the Red Fort on Republic Day, PM Modi had clearly stated that the law will do its job. The action has started now on the violence on Republic Day.

The Delhi Police on Monday arrested a protestor who allegedly attacked and injured a CISF soldier in the violence at the Red Fort during the tractor parade of farmers on 26 January. Authorities have given information in this regard. A person spreading fake news on social media has been arrested from Rajasthan. The Delhi Police official said that the accused in the attack on the CISF soldier has been identified as Akash Preet, a resident of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that he was arrested from Delhi. According to the police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were stationed at the Red Fort and tried to stop the accused, who were among the crowd entering there. A senior police officer said that when the accused was stopped by the security personnel, he attacked him with a sword. The officer said the incident was captured on camera.
