Gargi College case: Delhi Police registers case, starts investigation

New Delhi: Delhi Police has registered an FIR in the case of indecency at Gargi College in Delhi, the capital of the country. Today, a complaint has been made to the police on behalf of the college administration, on the basis of which the police have registered a case under section 452/354/509/34 of the IPC in Hauz Khas police station.

It is noteworthy that the National Women's Commission has also taken cognizance of the case of indecency committed by some boys during the annual festival at Gargi College, Delhi University. On Monday, two members of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Dal visited Gargi College. Along with this, information has been received of Delhi Women Commission President Swati Maliwal to reach Gargi College. It is also being told that if there is no action from the administration in an hour, then the principal's resignation will be sought.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that the miscreants who entered Gargi College were from outside. A student while talking to the media on Monday has told that, 'People entered the college around 4.30 pm. They were not near to come in. There were people around 30 years or older who came inside the college. Some people had drunk alcohol from him, some people were drinking cannabis. The boys were walking around taking off their shirts. Standing near me, boys were talking dirty things about me.
