New Delhi: The body of Trilochan Singh, leader of the National Conference of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, was recovered in a flat in New Delhi on Thursday. Police have registered a case of murder in the incident in Motinagar in West Delhi and the crime branch of Delhi Police is investigating it. The body of 67-year-old Trilochan Singh was found wrapped in a plastic bag. According to police, the body was recovered from the washroom of the flat. Two others, Harmeet and Harpreet, were also staying in the flat, police are looking for the duo. But they are yet to be ascertained.
According to the police officer, when the body was recovered from the room, he was wrapped in cloth, the head tied to a foil. Tell you that Trilochan Singh was scheduled to take a flight to Canada on September 2 to go to the family. But when nothing was detected for a long time, the family first informed the Jammu Police, and similarly, the matter reached the Delhi Police. Delhi Police received a call on Thursday complaining about the foul smell coming from the flat and police rushed to the spot.
A piece of shocking information came to light about the whole case. Harmeet Singh, who was wanted by the police, called Trilochan Singh's partner and asked him to pick up Trilochan's body. It's since then that Harmeet's number has been coming off. The CCTV footage of the flat shows both Harmeet and Harpreet. Police suspect, Harpreet had been planning to kill Trilochan Singh for quite some time. Trilochan Singh's family says there could be political reasons behind the murder.
