New Delhi: The capital of the country can see a big jump in the number of deaths due to coronavirus infection in Delhi. This is due to 53 deaths due to corona in Safdarjung hospital from February to May. The hospital has now informed the Audit Committee of Delhi. According to officials, Safdarjung Hospital has informed the Delhi Audit Committee on Wednesday regarding 53 deaths between 1 February and 16 May.

The Kejriwal government said that the hospital on Wednesday reported a big jump in deaths. The Delhi government had issued strict orders to all hospitals to submit to the Summary Audit Committee the death of corona in 24 hours. The government also sent reminders to all hospitals to comply with the order. A spokesman of the Kejriwal government said that all Delhi government hospitals are submitting their reports to the committee every day.

Giving information, a senior official of Delhi Health Department said that the deaths are yet to be added to the official figures of Delhi. This is due to the late sending of reports by the hospitals. The government adds the death toll as soon as the audit committee receives the files. 04 deaths in Safdarjung have already been added to the official government death toll. Now, if 49 more deaths are confirmed by the Audit Committee, then the death toll from Corona in Delhi will increase significantly.
