A committee of Democrat leadership representatives in the US House has announced an inquiry into the matter. Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo on Friday dismissed Steve Linick from his post. No reason was given from Pompeo about this. Although it is speculated that Linick had issued several reports regarding the staff appointed by the Trump administration in the ministry, he has been removed from the post only.

According to the media report, the Committee on Foreign Affairs said that the investigation by the head of the committee, Eliot Engel, has started on Saturday.
