Allahabad: A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Allahabad High Court to stop the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan to be held in Ayodhya. The petitioner has stated in his petition that Bhoomi Pujan would violate the COVID-19 guideline. The petitioner told the court in his petition that 300 people will gather for this Bhoomi Pujan, which is against the order of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the information received, Social Worker of Delhi Saket Gokhale has filed this PIL. In the petition, Gokhale has demanded to stop the Bhoomi Pujan. It has also been said in the PIL that this will increase the crisis of COVID-19. So it is very important that it should be stopped immediately. The petitioner said that the Uttar Pradesh government cannot waive the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

Gokhale has filed a letter petition in the court. The petition is in the name of the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. In this petition, apart from the Ram Mandir Trust, the central government has also been made a party. However, the date of hearing on the petition has not been fixed yet.

Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand has also raised questions about the Bhoomi Pujan. Shankaracharya said in his statement that The time in which this muhurta is being done. It is a very wrong time. Answering Swami Swaroopanand, the Mahants of Ram Mandir Trust said that "Swami should come and debate". No decision has been taken in this regard.
