Patna: Around 20 people were crushed by a car driver late night on Bakhra-Vaishali road of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. After the accident, there was a scream on the spot. All the injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. From where many people have been referred to SKMCH Hospital due to their critical condition. It is being told that at the time of the accident, all the people were going for Newtan worship. After hitting the people, the car overturned uncontrollably.

According to the report, Basavan Bhuiyan was going to be worshiped at the house of Sudhir Thakur, a resident of Ufraul. For worship, women and men were going to the border of the village while singing and playing songs for Newtan from around 10 o'clock in the night. Suddenly a speeding car coming from Vaishali's side became uncontrollable and crushed the crowd going for Newtan Puja. Until someone understood something, the car went into the pit crushing everyone. Two people including the driver were in the car at the time of the accident. Both of them also got injured in the accident and they too have been admitted for treatment.

It is being told that the car belongs to Bakhra Nunfar Tola of Saraiya police station area. Local people have told that more than 20 people including Sudhir Thakur's sister-in-law Urmila Devi, son Abhishek Thakur, grandson Munna Kumar and all members of Manaria (the entire team of Bhagat who performed the puja) were injured. In a hurry, the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. All the injured have not been identified yet. After the information, Saraiya police took stock of the spot and is busy recording the statement of the injured in the hospital.
