BOGOTA: The Colombian football association announced that Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz has rejoined the team for upcoming friendly against Iraq and Germany.

The 26-year-old hasn't played for his country since Liverpool's 3-2 loss at Arsenal in October caused knee ligament damage.

Everton center-back Yerry Mina, whose injury issues have kept him out of the national team since January 2022, is included in the 24-man roster alongside him.

Radamel Falcao, a seasoned forward, and playmaker James Rodriguez, who have struggled with bad form and fitness issues over the past year, were both left out of the lineup, according to a Xinhua report.

Oscar Cortes and Andres Salazar, two uncapped midfielders who dazzled onlookers at this year's under-20 World Cup in Argentina, were included by head coach Nestor Lorenzo.

On June 16, Colombia will face Iraq in Valencia, and four days later, Germany in Gelsenkirchen.

The Colombian has not featured for the Reds since damaging knee ligaments in the defeat to Arsenal in October 190 days ago, an injury which later required surgery, but has been named on the bench for tonight's game at Leeds.
