Now amidst all this, Corona in Tamil Nadu has also wreaked havoc on doctors and doctors have lost their lives one after another. So far, Corona has killed 20 doctors in Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, if we talk about the data collected by the state unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA), since March till date, there have been 20 doctors in Tamil Nadu who have been died of coronavirus.
Most of the deceased doctors have been reported from Chennai, Madurai and other southern districts. Apart from this, the number of deaths in the western districts of the state is being reported less. Recently, IMA state secretary AK Ravikumar said that "the number of deceased doctors can be more". Recently, he said, "The death of Dr. Simon associated with IMA was first recorded in the state." After that we started collecting data on all the deaths of doctors due to coronavirus.
So far, 20 doctors have succumbed to COVID-19. However, the death toll may also be higher because we have only submitted a list of doctors whose relatives have provided us death certificates and other documents. We are also collecting details of other doctors who succumbed to the virus allegedly. ”Along with this, it is also reported that 19 out of 20 doctors were over 50 years of age. According to him, 'The youngest doctor who died of coronovirus in the list was a 43-year-old man. All other doctors are over 50 years of age.
