LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party  President Akhilesh Yadav has said that the double-engine BJP governments at the Centre and Uttar Pradesh are working at cross purposes.

"There is want of coordination between the Central government and state government. This was reflected in the delay in the appointment of DGP in the state.  While the Central govt is conducting raids throughout the state, including in Gorakhpur, the state government's agencies are conducting them in Delhi. In Varanasi, the Lok Sabha district of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a development project has been halted at the request of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he stated in a statement.

While criticising the current BJP administration, Akhilesh spoke about the development projects started by his administration. The SP leader continued by claiming that the BJP had the most goons.

The media should confirm the state's top ten criminals, according to a list the state government should release, he suggested.

"Besides, the BJP has not been able to make preparations for civic elections.  Prior to the election, one of their party's leaders allegedly distributed Rs 1,000 to voters in Firozabad. The SP President declared, while supporting Vandana Mishra for mayor of Lucknow, that "we will make Lucknow lovely once our party gets the mayor post. The SP will set up its state government in the upcoming years.

Akhilesh also charged that the BJP administration was not advancing his construction projects. "We must clean up this squalor in Gomti. The Gomti riverfront project has not been finished by the BJP administration. If finished, it would have appeared elegant and pristine. He spoke about a number of projects, including the Lucknow Metro, JPNIC, Gomti riverfront, Lohia Park, Janeshwar Mishra Park, Agra-Lucknow motorway, Cancer Institute, among others. He also enumerated the development initiatives his government has undertaken.
