NEW DELHI: Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the National Capital on Wednesday. Several topics in the state are thought to have been considered by the Governor. She also appears to have alerted the PM about the protocols violated by the State government.
After meeting with the Prime Minister, she spoke to reporters about the recent incidents and stressed that the Governor's constitutional role should be respected. Soundararajan, on the other hand, stated she was not insulted and that the people of Telangana should decide how the state government treated her.
"This is a free-for-all situation. Everyone, including the media, is aware. These things don't need to be reported "When asked if she had reported the instances to the Prime Minister, she responded no. The meeting takes place as the rift between Governor Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has widened in recent months.
She stated that, although having constitutional powers, she did not intend to use them. She stated that she wishes to keep positive connections with the government. She denied politicising anything or making a contentious judgment. She justified her decision to select P. Kaushik Reddy for the Legislative Council based on the government's suggestion.
