Venkatachalam: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the 20th-anniversary celebrations of Swarna Bharat Trust at Venkatachalam in Andhra Pradesh today. As a result, he said that Padma awards are received on the recommendation of most of the parties who are in power but PM Narendra Modi gave this honour to those who worked on the ground through an online application.

At the same time, Amit Shah said, "I have seen and noticed Padma awards before and even today. I have also seen a record of the old process of the Padma Awards. Most of the parties in power introduced Padma Awards to the people of the influence area. Padma awards could not have been imagined without a recommendation earlier.''

Praising Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Shah said, "It is a great thing for anyone to be born in a poor farmer family and become the Vice President of India, become the National President of the BJP, become a Minister of many departments and contribute everywhere. Whatever character Venkaiah Ji got, he played it in a disciplined manner.'' Amit Shah said, "Naiduji has made many efforts to keep India's democracy healthy by working against dynasty throughout his life.'' Shah further said, "The party has to move forward with many ups and downs. With discipline, Venkaiahji has worked to take the party forward.''
