Earthquake hits Kargil after Telangana, measuring 42 on Richter scale

Tremors were felt in Ladakh on Sunday morning. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake struck near Kargil in Ladakh at around 11:29 a.m. and measured a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was 184 km northwest of Kargil. No damage due to tremors has been reported at present.

For your information, the tremors were also felt in Telangana on Saturday. The National Sysmology Centre had said that Telangana had received an earthquake at around 2.30pm, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake in Telangana was 45 kilometres northeast of Karimnagar. The earthquake caused panic among the individuals and everyone had come out of their homes.

Tremors were felt in many regions over the past two days. Tremors were felt in Sivani in Madhya Pradesh on Friday morning. On the same evening, an earthquake struck Guwahati in the northeastern state of Assam. Then, on Saturday, tremors were felt in Telangana and today an earthquake near Kargil in Ladakh caused panic among the people.
