Tremors were felt in Ladakh on Sunday morning. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake struck near Kargil in Ladakh at around 11:29 a.m. and measured a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was 184 km northwest of Kargil. No damage due to tremors has been reported at present.

The National Sysmology Centre had said that Telangana had received an earthquake at around 2.30pm, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake in Telangana was 45 kilometres northeast of Karimnagar. The earthquake caused panic among the individuals and everyone had come out of their homes.
