'Elated to collaborate with Fox Star Studios' says Deepika Padukone on working with Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak

Recently actress Deepika Padukone tied knot with Ranveer Singh in a grand wedding. Post Wedding Deepika’s husband is busy in promoting his upcoming film Simmba. Talking about Deepika, she is excited about "Chhapaak", which will tell the story of an acid attack survivor.

On Monday Deepika took to Twitter and shared her views on the story . Her tweet reads,"A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquashable human spirit. Elated to collaborate with Fox Star Studios on 'Chhapaak',"

 Meghna Gulzar directorial Chhapaak is said to be based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. A Fox Star Hindi project, the film also stars Vikrant Massey.

Gulzar  talked about Vikrant Massy, she had said, "He's a north Indian man who used to be a professional but decides to leave it all and become an actor. And then starts this campaign against acid attack violence. I'm glad Vikrant is a part of the film and I think I can speak for both Deepika and me that we're really excited that he's playing this part."

Talking about Ranveer’s Singh Simmba, it is directed by Rohit Shetty and also stars Sara Ali Khan in lead role. It is slated to release on December 28.
