Guwahati: No one is unaware of the fact that in the world, crime is constantly increasing. Every day, some new issue is creating fear in the hearts and minds of people. The infiltration of Naxalites is increasing every day. A similar case has come up recently. In Kandhamal district of Odisha, at least four Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel on Sunday morning. A joint team of the District Voluntary Force (DVF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) was conducting a search operation in the area when the Naxalites opened fire on them. After this, retaliation was carried out by security personnel in which four Naxalites were killed.

According to the police, there was an encounter between the Naxalites and SOG, DVF in Tumudibandha of Kandhamal. Security forces were fired upon, after which they retaliated in self-defense. Four people have been killed and some injured from Naxalites. A search operation is going on in the area. SP is on the scene.

A huge amount of weapons and ammunition have also been seized from the spot. Chief Secretary Asit Tripathi congratulated the officers and soldiers for the successful operation. He tweeted, congratulations to the officers and jawans of Odisha Police for successful operation in Kandhamal. His bravery is admirable. The death of four Naxalites has been confirmed. This will strengthen our resolve to free our state from extremism and development in the state.
