The gangster John Buttar has been taken into custody by the police. The police have also arrested 4 of his associates. About 5 rounds of firing in an encounter with gangsters, John Buttar was injured, he was shot in his left leg, and was referred to PGI. After being taken into custody, his associates with gangster Navdeep Singh Navi alias John Buttar have been identified as Buttar Kalan Moga, Kulvinder Singh, Parminder Singh alias Pinda, all resident villages Amritpal Singh and Amrik Singh Rahwasi Ludhiana.

This campaign of police has been run with the help of Crime Control Unit, Mohali and Jagraon Police. Weapons have also been obtained from the captured miscreants. Cases have been filed against whom the Sadar police station Kharar has been charged under various sections including the Arms Act and the attack on the government employee. This operation has been made successful by the police team under the leadership of AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan. Chauhan said that no police personnel has been injured in this campaign. Investigations are being done from these accused.

The police had received information that gangster John Buttar is present with his associates at Aman Niwas, Sector-125, Kharar. The police team in civil uniform led by AIG surrounded the entire area at 2 pm. AIG Chauhan said that when the police team reached outside the flat on the first floor, the flat was closed from inside. His team knocked on the door, but no one opened the door from inside. After which the police told them to surrender and raise their hands and come out. But they still did not open the door.
