After China, Coronavirus is affecting India badly. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is desperately seeking to increase the ability of the corona examination to deal with the condition of community transmission of the corona. So far, ICMR has developed a corona test facility at 72 locations. Each of these labs has the ability to test 90 samples every day, which can be easily increased to 180 samples. After the number of corona patients and suspects, 500 samples are being tested daily in all these labs, which used to be 60-70 until last week.

More than 11500 samples of this terrible virus have been investigated. The ICMR has decided to equip 49 labs of the Department of Bio-Technology, DRDO and Government Medical Colleges with corona testing and will be commissioned this week. With this, ICMR has installed two mega rapid testing machines in Delhi and Bhubaneswar. In this, every machine can test 1400 samples every day. These mega rapid testing machines are set to be installed at five locations in different areas of the country, which can be increased to 10.

ICMR has already ordered 10 lakh probes to maintain the availability of probes coming from abroad for the investigation of the corona. Apart from this, the World Health Organization has also been asked to provide 10 lakh probes. The ICMR has once again rejected the growing demand of everyone to investigate with the coronavirus. Dr. Balaram Bhargava said that this is necessary for countries where community transmission has started. No such situation has come in India yet. ICMR has issued a new guideline for the investigation. Dr. Bhargava said that it will be amended if needed.
