New Delhi: Farmers' agitation against the centre's agricultural laws continues to be raging. Farmers ' clashes with the government are also continuing. The farmers' agitation continues on the 16th day today. Farmers have announced the Agra-Jaipur highway jam from Saturday. A large number of farmers are still engaged on the Delhi border.
There is a persistent demand from the farmers to withdraw the agricultural laws, though the government is insisting on making amendments by interacting with the farmers. Even after five rounds of talks, no consensus has been reached in the farmers and the government so far. The police administration has been alerted after the agitating farmers announced the Delhi-Agra and Delhi-Jaipur highway jams on Saturday. Due to farmers' agitation, security arrangements have been tightened by the police at Jantar Mantar, no agitating organisation or person is able to reach the Dharna site.
Many organisations had arrived to perform in favour of the farmers on Thursday, but the soldiers of Delhi police and Rapid Action Force did not let anyone go inside. The protestors then went to the red light and sat on Dharna and supported the demands of the farmers.
