New Delhi: Last Saturday, there was a 90-minute-long dialogue between farmers' representatives and senior officials of Delhi Police and IB officials. During this, Delhi Police and IB officials told the representatives of the farmers, "Along with two borders, one national highway is also closed due to which people coming to Delhi from other state are facing problems". The farmer leaders also said, 'They should be allowed to perform at Ramlila Maidan or Jantar Mantar'.

Police officials also said, 'Corona Guidelines are applicable in Delhi and with so many trucks and tractors, the protesters will neither come to Jantar Mantar nor Ramlila Maidan. So it is not possible for them to perform here'. Meanwhile, after BSP President Mayawati, Shiv Sena has also come in favour of the farmers who are protesting. Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut has also taken their side. Recently he has said, 'The way farmers have been prevented from coming to Delhi, it seems that they are not farmers of the country but outside. They have been treated like terrorists. Behaving like this is insulting the farmers of the country.'

He also said, 'Because of the agitation of the farmers on the Indus border, those who come across the border are facing a lot of trouble. People coming to Delhi from other states are very upset with the closure of the border. They have to walk a long distance. Passengers crossing the border say they have to walk many kilometres due to the blockade.'
