Gurugram City police on Sunday detained a senior executive of a private firm in links with the mystifying death of his wife. 32 year old Deepika Chauhan a Fasting wife, died after clahed held with husband over his affair and he pushed her off eighth of the balcony at apartment in Ansal Valley View Society on the Gurugram-Faridabad Road on Saturday night.

First round statements suggested that the dead Dipika fell from the balcony of her apartment, however, police also pursuing for other angles in the wake of a complaint by Deepika's father, Harikishan Ahuja who claimed that her death was  due to her husband. Following an inquiry into the matter, police on Sunday detained the husband, Vikram Chauhan for his alleged connection in his wife's death.

Dipika’s father told police that the couple got wedded in 2013 and had a four-year-old daughter and six-month-old son. However, Vikram got lovingly involved with a woman from his apartment building causing conflict with wife.

The deceased's father said police that his daughter observed a 'karwa chauth' fast on Saturday. When Deepika clashed Vikram over the regular visits of his kept to the couple's apartment, he pushed her off the balcony, said Harikishan Ahuja, Dipika’s father. Deepak was produced before a local court and remanded for two days in police custody.
